Program Structure
Unlock the doors to a comprehensive and blended curriculum that seamlessly integrates online learning with invaluable in-person sessions.
Your pathway consists of:
- 10 Remarkable Weeks: A fast-tracked, intensive program designed to catapult you into your new career.
- Flexible Scheduling: Classes convene twice a week, on Thursday and Thursday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm or Saturday and Sunday, accommodating your unique needs and schedule.
- Hands-on Experience: Dive deep into real-world dental assisting practices with engaging laboratory and operatory exercises.
Blended Learning Experience
Harness the power of online and offline worlds:
- Online Convenience: Engage with 25 hours of captivating online content, accessible anytime, ensuring flexibility and convenience.
- In-Person Mastery: Revel in 80 immersive in-person hours, fostering a space for practical mastery and enriched learning experiences.
Admission Criteria
Our doors are open to passionate individuals ready to soar. Here are the only requirements:
- Age: students should be over 18 years of age.
- Educational Qualifications: a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Career-Ready Certifications
Certification is important for potential employers as they seek to hire qualified candidates. We understand the importance of certification and are confident in the preparation provided to our graduates. For the Dental Assisting National Board students will need to qualify test, have a written exam to the DANB and radiology, in addition to 3,500 work hours.

Dental Assisting
Course Outline
• WEEK 01 •
General introduction to the exciting field of Dentistry, including your orientation to our clinic and dental terminology.
• WEEK 02 •
Four-handed dentistry, instrumental transfer, isolation techniques, suctioning (HVE), local anesthesia, patient positioning, handpiece maintenance, sealants and coronal polishing.
• WEEK 03 •
Radiology theory and practice of intraoral and extraoral X-ray techniques, X-ray safety, darkroom procedures.
• WEEK 04 •
Amalgam and composite materials, instruments, mixing, curing, tubs, trays.
• WEEK 05 •
Cements and liners, alginate impressions (upper arch), model pouring and trimming, X-ray quiz. CPR Training.
• WEEK 06 •
Midterm exam. Oral surgery, periodontal instruments and materials, sterilization procedures, alginate impressions (lower arch).
• WEEK 07 •
Crown and bridge instruments and materials, making temporary restorations, bite registration.
• WEEK 08 •
Endodontic materials and instruments, orthodontics, job interview skills.
• WEEK 9•
Office management, front desk operation, appointments, billing dental insurance, office management software, OSHA regulations. Review and practice for final exam.
• WEEK 10 •
Final exam and practical exam. Pediatric dentistry, final written exam, X- ray practical clinical exam.

Meet The Team
Doctor Josh Lange, DDS, CEO

Dr. Josh Lange is the dedicated dentist and founder of Posh Dental in Temecula, known for his commitment to excellence in comprehensive and reconstructive dentistry. Originally from California, Dr. Lange discovered his passion for oral health early in life, combining a love of science and artistry with a strong desire to serve people from all walks of life.
Studying Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego in his undergraduate years, Dr. Lange was a member of its prestigious pre-dental club, which inspired him to pursue dentistry as a career. He would later attend the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry to obtain his doctorate of dental surgery degree.
Dr. Lange’s clinical expertise is built on extensive advanced training in implant dentistry, sedation, and full-mouth reconstruction. He consistently pursues continuing education and has earned advanced credentials that uniquely position him to provide complex rehabilitative care such as All-on-X implant solutions, full arch restorations, and hybrid implant dentures with precision and comfort.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Lange is passionate about education and mentorship. He values teaching and sharing knowledge with both peers and patients, believing that informed care leads to better outcomes and a higher standard within the profession.
His clinical philosophy emphasizes individualized treatment planning, cutting-edge technology, and patient comfort, making predictable, long-lasting outcomes the standard of care. Under his leadership, Posh Dental has become a trusted practice for patients seeking transformative dental solutions.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lange is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is fluent in Spanish, an avid reader, a fitness enthusiast, and a jazz and blues music lover who plays the alto saxophone.

Rebecca Salem, RDA, Instructor

Rebecca, RDA, is a graduate of SJVC’s Class of 2020, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA and a permanent spot on the Dean’s List. With six years of experience spanning both front and back office operations, she mostly served as a Lead Assistant responsible for training and onboarding clinical staff. Certified in both dental assisting and medical administration, Rebecca is passionate about mentoring students and sharing the real world skills needed to run a successful practice. When she isn’t in the classroom, she enjoys crafting, gaming, and spending time with her husband and their new baby boy.
Carliesa Cody, Instructor

Carliesa Cody is a dental operations professional with over a decade of experience in clinical and administrative practice management. Since earning her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 2013, she has worked across multiple roles in dentistry, progressing from front office coordinator and dental assistant to insurance coordinator, treatment plan coordinator, office manager, and consultant.
Carliesa specializes in patient communication, case acceptance strategies, insurance workflows, scheduling optimization, and practice profitability systems. She has trained both administrative and clinical team members and is known for helping offices improve efficiency while strengthening the patient experience.
Before transitioning fully into dental operations leadership, Carliesa also worked as an ER scribe and OB-GYN medical assistant, giving her a strong foundation in medical documentation, patient care coordination, and interdisciplinary healthcare environments. She later expanded her business expertise as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual for Dentist and other business owners, further strengthening her ability to teach systems thinking and practice growth strategies.
In addition to her professional background, Carliesa is a U.S. Army Reserve veteran and former operations officer, bringing leadership, structure, and accountability into her teaching approach. She is passionate about preparing students for real-world success in dental practices by equipping them with practical workflow knowledge, confidence in patient interactions, and a clear understanding of how front office excellence supports the entire clinical team.
Carliesa’s instruction focuses on bridging the gap between classroom learning and day-one readiness in a modern dental office environment.
